Elderly care at home

Our one-to-one support allows older people to continue living independently. If you are finding it harder to keep on top of housework or manage personal care tasks such as washing or dressing, we can help. Services are tailored to individual needs – whether you need a little extra help or a lot, our well-trained carers can help you live well in the home you love. Higher levels of support can often delay or even avoid the need to move into residential care.

What our elderly care services include

Our elderly care services cover a wide variety of tasks and activities.

Things we can help with include:

  • Morning starts and bed-time routines
  • Personal care such as washing, shaving and help to get to the toilet
  • Trips out and going to appointments
  • Short check-in visits
  • Sitting with you for company
  • Sharing hobbies and activities
  • Reading you books and newspapers
  • Shopping (and putting away)
  • Preparing food
  • Paying bills

However you choose to use our elderly care service, you can be sure you’ll also enjoy the companionship that comes with regular visits from people you know and trust.

Care for age-related conditions

We train our team to understand the symptoms and help manage the impact of age-related conditions such as dementia, arthritis and diabetes. Carers can also often spot signs of problems, and will help liaise with families and medical professionals to arrange diagnosis and treatment.

Creating a safe environment

Staff put safety first at all times, from making sure the shower mat is firmly in place to looking out for anything you might trip over and practicing good food hygiene. If they have any concerns for ongoing safety, they will let a senior manager know.

Going out and about

There’s no need to stay home even if you need help to go out – our carers can take you into town, for a lunch out, or simply for a drive. They may use their own cars (fully insured for driving clients) or arrange taxis.

Help to eat well

Our carers can prepare everything from tea and toast to nutritious and tasty meals. They will always make sure you have a drink when they visit, and can organise snacks to see you through the day. And they’ll do the washing up and putting away, too.

Keeping you mobile

Your carers will help you to keep moving as best you can, so you do not lose muscle strength and flexibility. They can provide support to help you around the house and to potter in the garden, do gentle exercises with you, and encourage you with any exercises you may have been given.

Visits tailored to your needs

We will talk to you about your needs, agree exactly what support we’ll provide, and create a detailed care plan that carers will use when they visit. Our home care visit arrangements are flexible, allowing you to choose the level of support that is right for you – from short visits right through to overnight stays and live-in care.

What elderly care costs

The cost of our care services depends on your needs. We will provide expert advice and clear pricing, so you can choose what is right for you. We can also advise on social care funding.

Arrange a care consultation

The best way to see how our care visits could work for you is to arrange for a free no-obligation care consultation. One of our senior staff members will visit you at a time that is convenient to you and discuss your care and wellbeing needs, and advise on the most suitable options and costs.
